He enlisted in the U.S. Navy on November 6, 1942 at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
He was killed in action at Iwo Jima on March 21, 1945.
He was originally from Vandergrift, Pennsylvania.
He was interred in the Gettysburg National Cemetery on April 13, 1948.
