Mario John Bione served as a Pharmacist's Mate 2nd Class in the United States Navy Reserve during World War II.

He was a son of Joseph J. Bione and Serafino Bione.

He enlisted in the U.S. Navy on November 6, 1942 at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

He was killed in action at Iwo Jima on March 21, 1945.

He was originally from Vandergrift, Pennsylvania.

He was interred in the Gettysburg National Cemetery on April 13, 1948.
