Harry Wolfgang Weest (II) served as a Colonel in the United States Army.
He served in both World War I & World War II.
He was originally from the State of Pennsylvania.
He was a recipient of the Bronze Star Medal.
His father was Harry Wolfgang Weest (April 26, 1867 - July 29, 1949). His mother was Francisca "Fannie" Maude Rutter Weest (March 6, 1868 - December 29, 1937).
He was the grandson of Wolfgang Weest (Find A Grave Memorial #21270746) and Anna Mary Hoeffler Weest (Find A Grave Memorial #21270718) of Altoona, Pennsylvania. Wolfgang and Anna were immigrants from Bavaria and Baden, Germany, respectively. Early in life, Harry's father worked for his dad, Wolfgang, in the family hotel and butcher business on 6th Street in Altoona, Pennsylvania. Their residence is now called "Blair House."
