Liberty--Mildred "Midge" Finch Heinbaugh 82, 101 East High Street died Friday Feb. 4 at Reid Hospital.
She was born March 11, 1911 in Union County to John and Maria Young Schlechtweg, and was a lifelong resident of Union County. She was a member of Liberty Church of Christ, a member of the Loyal Christian Class of the church, and graduated from Brownsville High School. She also served as Clerk treasurer of Liberty from 1964 through 1979. Her first husband Paul J. Finch, died in 1960, and her second husband Glenn E. Heinbaugh died in 1974.
Survivors include one son Richard P. Finch of Liberty; one daughter Cheryl Thomas of Connersville; two sisters Mabel Hunter and Bertha Gilbert both of Connersville; six grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren; she was also preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
Service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 8 at Showalter Blackwell, Baker-Fosdick Chapel in Liberty, with Dwight Gillespie of Liberty Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in Wayne County. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m.Monday Feb. 7, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Loyal Christian Class of the Liberty Church of Christ.
