[Franklin's sister, Nellie Pierce, was suspicious of Franklin's death at the Arthur Home by gastric ulcers, there were also items missing from his room. His body was exhumed and an autopsy performed. Franklin was murdered by arsenic poisoning by the owner of home, along with many of the other residents of her elderly home.
