Mrs. Marguerite E. Lear of East Freedom, RD 1, and formerly of Altoona, died at 4:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon at Mercy hospital.
She was born in Duncansville Oct. 1, 1894, the daughter of John and Margaret (Gibson) Confer.
She was a registered nurse and was with the Fitzgerald nursing home 10 years before she retired with 35 years in the nursing profession.
Her husband, Myrle Lear, died March 3, 1946. Surviving are none son, Myrle B. of East Freedom; one brother, Fred Confer of Ebensburg; two sisters, Mrs. Jannette Wentz of Brookes Mills and Mrs. Pauline Hesser of Altoona, and three grandchildren.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Hollidaysburg, Delphi Chapter 65, Order of the Eastern Star, and Jobel Court 11.
Friends are being received at the Laughlin Funeral Home.
