Dora Charlotte [McNeill] Harris was the daughter of Robert Lloyd McNeill, Sr. and Rebecca Jane [Nicklow] McNeill. She attended Valpraiso University in northern Indiana, where she met and married Burley Milroy Harris, Sr. (1881-1946) of Indiana on March 12, 1903. The couple were divorced in the early 1920s, with Burley returning to Indiana and moving on to Florida and later Texas, where he died in 1946. Dora Charlotte Harris died 10 months later in the old McNeill family farmhouse in Somerset County, with her namesake daughter, Dora Charlotte, by her bedside.
