Gordon Adams, 59, of Fayetteville, went home to be with the Lord on March 4 at Francis House, after a prolonged battle with heart disease. He graduated from SUNY Canton and worked as a mechanical engineer. He was a member of Eastern Hills Bible Church, where he had volunteered in the food pantry and putting together baskets for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Throughout the years, he coached his boys' baseball and basketball teams. He enjoyed helping his wife with the calendar donation program for nursing home residents. He is survived by his wife, Diane Day Adams; four sons, Greg (Lyna) and Matthew (Dawn), both of Frederick, Maryland, Paul (Linda) of LaFayette and Nathan of Grantham, PA; 13 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at Eastern Hills Bible Church, Manlius, on Saturday, March 17, at 1 p.m. Contributions will go toward his youngest son's education and may be sent to Nathan Adams, Messiah College, One College Ave., PO Box 5004, Grantham, PA 17027 or Francis House, 108 Michaels Avenue, Syracuse, NY 13208.
