Melody Pigford, 39, Peru, IN, passed away at 10:00 a.m. Sunday, October 7, 2012 at her residence. She was born in Peru, Indiana on March 26, 1973, the daughter of Otis Eugene and Donnie Kay Mosley Merritt. She married Tommy Pigford on June 30, 1998 and he survives.
Melody graduated from Peru High School in 1992 and had been employed at Electro Nite in Peru.
Surviving in addition to her husband, Tommy Pigford are her children Skyler Thomas Merritt Pigford and Shyanne Kaydee Bell Pigford; Step-children Christopher Boyce Pigford and his wife Megan Nicole of Baldknob, AR and Deborah Deeann Pigford of Baldknob, AR ; A brother Joe Cecil Wright, Jr. and his wife Julie J. of Peru, IN; nieces Bethanne Wright, Maralee Swift, Brianne Wright and Brandi Uchwal; nephews Jeromie Wright and Jeremy Payne; Great Nieces; Jazzy Joe Rader, Jaylynn Simpson, Kaylynn Bennett, Trey Bennett, Sasha Uchwal, Laylah Swift; and great nephews; Nathaniel Miller, Brody Wright, Kaeden Wright, Cyrus Uchwal and Wyatt Swift.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 12, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Assembly of God, 365 Monroe Avenue, Peru with Pastor J. Litherland officiating. Family and friends will gather from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Friday at First Assembly of God.
