Leading stoker of the HMS Poseidon. The official British report was that salvage, and the bodies left behind, were never recovered. The Chinese government confirmed in Oct. 2013, that they raised and scrapped the Poseidon in 1972. Information as to the whereabouts of the crews remains have not been shared.
The submarine Poseidon sank shortly after midday on June 9, 1931, after a collision with a Chinese merchant steamer, the SS Yuta, 20 miles north of the British naval base on Luigong Island.
He left no dependents.
