Ida Williamson was the daughter of Charles DeRoy Williamson and Flora Faye Paddock. She was born in Santa Rita, New Mexico, the second youngest of 13 children.
Ida's 9th Great-Grandfather, Richard Warren, came to America aboard the Mayflower in 1620.
Her middle name is the initial "M" only. Her mother told her it was to keep the peace in the family---too many aunts and family friends with names starting with "M"s.
On June 14, 1941 she married James Ward Morgan in Hynes, Los Angeles County, California. They had two children.
In 1965 they moved from the Los Angeles county area where they had lived most of their married life and settled in Grants Pass, Oregon. After the death of her husband she moved to Medford, Oregon to be closer to her youngest daughter and her family.
She loved to crochet and do embroidery. She was noted for the wonderful pies that she made (they were always requested at all gatherings of family and friends!)
