US Navy EN3 Steve Dennis Ledford, Vietnam Veteran and native of Ruston Louisiana.

US Navy Engineman Third Class Steve Dennis Ledford was a casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Navy, EN3 Ledford served our country until April 8th, 1968 in Gia Dinh, South Vietnam. He was 21 years old and was not married. It was reported that Steve died from artillery fire. His body was recovered. Steve was born on October 7th, 1946 in Ruston, Louisiana. EN3 Ledford is on panel 48E, line 053 of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. He served our country for 2 years.

He is the son of Thomas B. & Helen Ledford

EN3 Steve Dennis Ledford served as an Engineman 3rd Class with Patrol Boat River-19, River Assault Squadron-5, Task Force 116, United States Naval Forces Vietnam, United States Navy.

He was awarded The Purple Heart Medal, The National Defense Service Medal, The Vietnam Service Medal, The Vietnam Campaign Medal and The Vietnamese Gallantry Cross Unit Citation.
