ASSISTANT CASHIER OF BANK COMMITS SUICIDE

Memphis, Tennessee, December 7...(AP)....Clarence Henochsberg, 44, assistant cashier of the American Savings Bank and Trust Company, Memphis, telephoned a director of the bank here today that he was short in his accounts, then killed himself by shooting.

The bank from which a clerk disappeared last week when shortages of $105,000 in his accounts were discovered, did not open at 9 o'clock, the accustomed hour, but the board of directors went into private session.

The American Savings Bank and Trust Company is capitalized at $100,000. Surplus and undivided profits are listed as $122,000. When Rush H. Parke, bookkeeper, disappeared last week, the bank officials charged off shortages of approximately $105,000.

Henochsberg left a wife and two children.

Bank Cashier Shoots Himself
Memphis, Tenn., Dec. 7.— (U.P.)
Clarence Henochsberg, assistant cashier of the American Savings Bank & Trust company, shot himself thru the head at his home here this morning, and died almost instantly.
Henochsherg's suicide came at a time when the authorities were investigating circumstances connected ith the flight of Rush Parke, youthful absconding bookkeeper of the American Savings Bank & Trust So., whose account were found to be short more than $100,000.
