Clyde William Brasfield, 68, of Quinton, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2011 at UAB Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at 2 p.m. in the Bell Sumiton Chapel with burial following at West Jefferson Freewill Cemetery. Rev. Donnie Hicks will officiate.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 from 12:30 until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was a hard working man who simply loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He was retired from Alabama Power Company after 35 years of dedicated service. He was a devoted husband, adoring father and a very loving grandfather. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Peyton Brasfield and Martha Yvonne Brasfield.
He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Ann Brasfield of Quinton;
daughters, Karen Thompson of Gardendale and Aimee Brasfield of Quinton; son, Brian Brasfield of Bagley;
grandchildren, Dustin Thompson of Gardendale, Trent Brasfield of Bagley, Caleb Brasfield of Bagley, Kendal Thompson of Gardendale, Kailey Conner of Quinton and Emerie Brasfield of Quinton and great-grandchild, Zoe Thompson of Gardendale.
