Funeral Service For H.R. Crow, Jr.
Rev. France Allen conducted the funeral service for little H.R. Crow, Jr. at the family residence on Park Street on Tuesday afternoon. A large concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends of the family were in attendence.
The untimely death of their little one brought deepest grief to the hearts of his fond parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.R. (Shorty) Crow. He was a very bright child for his age and his bright sayings and and cute manners attracted the attention of adults with whom he came in contact and made friends with them all.
A small rising on his face developed into blood poison which in spite of all that medical skill and loving attention could do resulted in death, the end coming Monday morning about 10:20 o'clock.
His life is ended here but the sunshine that he brought to the hearts of his parents will strenghten their hope in the resurrection of the dead and the sweet sad memory of him will doubtless prove a steadying influence when life's storm clouds gather about their heads.
The sorrowing parents and relative have the sincere sympathy and undersatnding of all those who like them have been called upon to "pass under the rod."
