Isaac Blackwelder was an ordained Free Will Baptist minister for many years. He also helped establish the organization of the National Association of Free Will Baptists in Nashville, Tennessee in 1935. He served as Secretary pro tem the first session, and was elected as the first Secretary/Treasurer on the next day. He effectively served wherever he was needed, and was esteemed and appreciated by his brethern.
