AKRON--Gerald O. Stone, 80, of Akron, a carpentar and supervisor for C.A. Batt Construction of Buffalo and a World War II Navy veteran, died Saturday (Oct. 25, 2003) at St. Joseph's Hospital in Cheektowaga.
Mr. Stone ws born Sept. 2, 1923, in Buffalo, a son of the late Otto and Dorothy M. Blackburn Stone.
He was husband of the late Sylvia C. Bell Stone.
Survivors included three sons, Keith W. (Mary) Stone of Akron, Gerald M. (Susan) Stone of Texas, Randall C. Stone of Texas; two daughters Sheralyn E. (Michael) Hennessey of Florida and Lyndell (Jerome) Lawrence of Ohio, 24 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a sister, Lois (Earl) Smith of Getzville.
There are no calling hours. Services will be at 10 am Wednesday at C.B. Beach and Son Mortuary of Corfu. Burial will be in Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Corfu. Memorials may be made to God's New Covenant People, 570 Gould, Depew, NY 14043.
