Steven Lee Siple, 52, Topeka, died Friday, March 21, 1997, at a Topeka hospital. Mr. Siple had been a road property account supervisor for the Santa Fe RR for more than 31 years and he most recently had worked for Topeka Foundry and Ironworks. He also served in the Kansas National Guard. He was born May 25, 1944, in Horton, the son of Lyle Lee and Betty R. Coombs Siple. He lived in Denison before he moved to Topeka in 1958. He was graduated from Topeka High School in 1962. Mr. Siple was a member of Northland Christian Church, where he served as a deacon. He also was a member of Capitol Post No. 1 of the American Legion, Topeka Bowling Assn. Board of Directors and TOPEKS Camping Club. He had coached Little League Baseball, Capitol Post #l of the Amer. Legion Baseball and semi-pro baseball for 18 yrs. He was married to Janet Ann Dooley Smith on Nov 30, 1985, in Topeka.
