GREENSBORO — Mr. Edward "Ed" B. Hall, 81, of Greensboro, passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2008.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, August 1, at Mount Pisgah United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Westminster Gardens with military honors.
Ed was a member of Mount Pisgah United Methodist Church, the John Bennett Sunday school class, the United Methodist Men and had also served as an usher. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion. Ed retired from Guardian Chemical Company. After retirement, he became the owner and operator of the Gym Gloss Company. He was an avid golfer and played with the Greensboro Super Seniors. He enjoyed his annual reunions with his former shipmates of the USS General G.O. Squire. He cherished the time he spent with his family especially his three granddaughters.
Mr. Hall is survived by his wife of 55 years, Golda Hall; son, Bain Hall and wife, June of Arlington, Va.; daughter, Marianne Hall Lund of Greensboro and grandchildren, Emily and Darcey Hall and Kristen Lund.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday at Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home, N. Elm St.
