NEW CARLISLE, IN. -- Betty J. Adnson, 86, of New Carlisle, Indiana passed away Saturday, February 18, 2012, at Hamilton Grove, in New Carlisle, Indiana. Betty was born July 15, 1925, in LaPorte, Indiana to Glen and Carrie (Benson) Wagner. She retired from the New Carlisle Public Library in 1988, after 24 years of service.
On August 16, 1947, Betty married Earl G. Adnson who survives. Surviving with her husband of 64 years is a daughter, Debbie Hilberg of Michigan City, Indiana; a son, Mark (Debra) Adnson of New Carlisle, Indiana; grandchildren, Adam (Amanda) Hilberg, Staci (Brandon) Gadacz, Michael (Jessica) Adnson; a great granddaughter, Lola Hilberg; and a brother, Jack D. Wagner of New Carlisle, Indiana.
Betty was a member of the New Carlisle Community Church, and graduated in 1944 from the New Carlisle High School. She enjoyed movies and dancing, but her main concern was taking care of her family.
Visitation for Betty will be held from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 21, 2012, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 201 S. Filbert Street, New Carlisle, Indiana. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2012, in the New Carlisle Community Church where friends may call one hour before services. (All times are EST). Burial will follow in the New Carlisle Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Food Pantry at the New Carlisle Community Church.
