David B. Havemann of Houston Texas, surrounded by his family, went to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 6, 2012.

David was born April 21, 1944 to the late Benny Fritz and Hattie Havemann at St. Joseph Hospital, Houston, Texas. He graduated from St. Pius High School in 1962 and then attended the University of Houston where he graduated with a degree in accounting in 1975. He married Doris Lake Havemann in 1964 and lived in Houston all of his life.

David had many activities that he loved to participate in. He coached boys' baseball and girls' softball for several years. He loved to take Doris dancing on Saturday nights. He loved to take his family camping and fishing at Lake Somerville and the Gulf Coast. He has been a member of the Knights of Columbus since 1965.

David loved to fish! He was, at one time, treasurer of the CCA (Coastal Conservation Association). He enjoyed teaching kids to fish and was involved in many CCA kid fish events. He loved to take Doris and his boat to Charlie's Bait Camp in Seadrift every weekend where they would spend time with friends fishing the day away.

David loved to be with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife Doris, his daughter Lisa and her husband Doug Brown and their two children Bailey and Buddy; his daughter Karen Haude and her daughter Hailey; his brother Eugene Havemann; his sister Margaret and her husband Dr. Dayle Hein and their children Kirk, Conrad, and Valerie; numerous aunts, cousins, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; and many friends who were like family to him.

David spent his final years living at The Cottage of Spring Branch, where he was cared for by the most professional, loving, and caring staff.
