Ciera Dawn Homan, daughter of Richard and Connie Umble Homan, was stillborn Wednesday, October 5, 1994 at Skiff Medical Center in Newton, Iowa. She is survived by her parents, Richard and Connie Homan of Newton; a half sister: Lana Conner, and a half brother: Stephen Conner, both of Oskaloosa; a step sister: Jennifer Homan of Delta; her paternal grandparents: Martha and Harry Landers of What Cheer, and Sharon and Richard Homan of Keswick; her maternal grandparetns: Margaret and Paul Umble of Knoxville; her paternal great grandfather: Charles Van Patten of Delta; her paternal great grandmother: Margery Van Patten of What Cheer; and several aunts and uncles.
The funeral services for Ciera are held in First Christian Church in Oskaloosa on Friday, October 7, 1994 at 10 A.M. with Rev, Michael Crouch officiating, under direction of the Bates Funeral Chapel. Mrs. Ellen Kentfield is the organist. The casket bearers are her grandfathers: Richard Homan, Harry Landers, and Paul Umble. Burial will be in McFarlan Cemetery near What Cheer.
