Stanton - Wilson Begley, 83, of Beattyville, died at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the home here of a son, Herbert Begley, after a long illness. A retired farmer, he was a member of the Christian Church.
Other survivors are his wife, Mrs. Louisa Begley; five daughters, Mrs. Elmer (Provy) Kendrick, Heidelberg; Mrs. Fannie Ingram and Mrs. John W. (Mary Elizabeth) Bowman, Cincinnati; Mrs. George (Gertrude) Bowman, Phoenix, Ariz., and Mrs. Ray (Jeanette) Smith, San Antonio, Texas; three sons, Dennie Begley, Stanton, and Robert and Matt Begley, Cincinnati; five stepdaughters, Mrs. Myrtle Botner, Sidney, Ohio; Mrs. Marjorie Whisman, Goldie Gabbard and Mrs. Crystal Reece, Independence, and Mrs. Gertie Hundley, Tampa, Fla.; two stepsons, Johnnie Hamilton, Independence, and Douglas Hamilton, Rockland, Mass.; a sister, Mrs. Hettie Dunigan, Cincinnati; 25 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Fortney and Wells Funeral Home by the Rev. George Fox. Burial will be in the Begley Cemetery in Lee County. The body is at the funeral home.
