Was baptized in Iaeger, West Virginia and was a former Sunday School teacher. Survivors, daughter, Judy Stephenson, Tellico Plains, Son & daughter-in-law, Philip & Patricia Auvil, Brooksville, Fla., Grandchildren & spouse, Mindy May Auvil, Linda A. Auvil, Luther & Crystal Knight, Sarah Boone, Cody Stephenson, Great-grandchildren, Philip & Hiram Auvil, Alex & Destiny Knight, Sisters, Madeline Rider, West Virginia, Jean Hoop, North Carolina, Several nieces & nephews.
Preceded in death by son-in-law, Gene E. Stephenson. Graveside service & interment 2 P.M. Friday, Big Toqua Cemetery, Rev. Mickey Payne officiating. Family will receive friends 6-8 P.M. Thursday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Tellico Plains.
