MRS. E. J. PULASKI LAID TO REST LAST FRIDAY

Gladys Humes Pulaski, daughter of Hannah and Alsen Humes was born at Alexandria, Minn, on the 23rd day of April, 1889. She passed away at the Trinity hospital at Minot on June 29th, 1938, at the age of 49 years, 2 months and 6 days.

She spent her early life in Minnesota and in Alberta, Canada, and in the spring of 1910, settled on a homestead near Colgan. On Sept 30th, 1910, she was united in marriage to Ernest J. Pulaski. Six children were born to this union, four sons and two daughters, namely, Glen of San Pedro, Calif., Ross of Mammoth, Utah, Ellen of Wolf Point, Mont., and Mildred, Dale and Vern, residing at home who with the sorrowing husband are left to mourn her passing. Also two brothers and two sisters, Walter Humes of Sawyer, N.D., Leonard Humes of Belmont, Ida., Mrs. G. M. Davis of Shelvin, Minn., and Mrs. Ewald Lindell of Fortuna, and a grand daughter, Sandra Pulaski of San Pedro, Calif.

Funeral services were held last Friday afternoon from the Concordia Lutheran church in this city with Rev. S.D. Sorgen, local pastor, officiating. The remains were laid to rest in the cemetery southeast of Crosby.

Mrs. Pulaski was a kind and loving mother, who did her utmost to keep the family together during these past trying years. At the time of her death, she was superintendent of the local sewing room and it was largely to her credit that organization functioned so well that it was recognized as being one of the most efficient in the state. She was a great lover of flowers and even during the drought years, she was successful in growing many beautiful plants.
