James D. "Jim" Charles, 63, of Moore Avenue, died Monday afternoon at his home.
Mr. Charles was owner/operator of Imperial Flooring Co. of Greeneville.
He was a member of Greeneville Church of Christ and Loyal Order of the Moose, Greeneville Lodge #692.
Mr. Charles was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.
Survivors include his wife: Angel Charles; two sons: James Winston Charles Jr. and David Phillip Charles, a daughter: Terri Charles, a grandson: Richard Lee Johnson, a sister and brother-in-law: Sue and Joseph Finley Kelley, a son-in-law and his wife: Arnold and Paula Johnson, and four stepchildren: Mark Skillman, Roger Skillman, John Skillman, and Jennifer Skillman, all of Greene County.
He was a son of the late Oscar Winston and Edna Bernice Lawrence Charles.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 Thursday and Friday evenings at Greeneville Church of Christ.
The funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Saturday morning at the church with interment in Shiloh Cemetery. Wayne Boswell will officiate.
Veterans of Foreign Wars, Andrew Johnson Post #1990, will conduct a military graveside service.
Active pallbearers will be Charles Taylor, Phill Taylor, Frankie Shipe, Gary Ross, Herb Hawks, and Jim Rich.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Tolliver, Don Shaw, Tommy Burns, Bill Isbell, and Jim Belt.
