Pete is the only son of Dario "Fred" and Helen "June" Morris Croce. He was unmarried and had no children. Within the Croce clan, Pete Croce was the 'Little Brother' of his two sisters Susan and Mary.

He was attentive to his family and they in turn, all recognized the fact -- Pete was 'A STAR'! Perhaps, he was a 'COMET.' Pete streaked across the sky leaving a beautiful, memorable, brief 'wake of star dust'!

He was Hollywood-handsome - with a head of golden locks, a wonderful face, perfect jawline, tall and lanky build. Best of all, he was just a marvelous fellow! He was, simply put - a young man with plenty of talent and full of great promise.

Pete performed in several local St. Louis stage productions including 'FIDDLER ON THE ROOF' in the late
1970s. He moved to NYC about 1980 and held several positions there.

A host of friends - loyal and loving - were part of his life in 'The Big Apple'. He was happy, successful and on his way to having a swell life and making a name. He had a fun NYC apt - with many interesting accents like the Oriental apothecary chest and a framed picture of actress Joan Crawford driving her car with a pet poodle beside her - BOTH Joan & the dog were wearing SUNGLASSES! It was a fun time - it was a good time...

Then, Pete became ill. He returned home and was carefully, lovingly nursed in his last days by his wonderful Mother, June. Alas, his time was precious and brief...

Pete would be pleased to know, the gifted playwright 'Tennessee Williams' was eventually buried just a short distance away from Pete's own gravesite.

** MEMORIAL WORDS **

A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam and for a brief moment, its glory and beauty belong to our world; But then, it flies again.
Though we wish it could have stayed,we feel lucky to have seen it."
