Sgt Thomas Francis Broomhead
Birth: Mar. 23, 1969
Ohio, USA
Death: May 27, 2003, Iraq

Army Sgt. Broomhead was assigned to 2nd Squadron, 3rd Armor Cavalry Regiment, Fort Carson, Colorado as a Bradley commander. Broomhead was on guard at a checkpoint in Al Fallujah when a vehicle pulled up and assailants fired on him. He was mortally wounded but he refused medical help and continued to fight and rally the others. He was evacuated conscious, which is why everybody was shocked when he died - he was so encouraging to everybody else and never gave a hint he was dying. Thomas was quarterback of the Cypress Lake High School football team in 1986. After graduating high school in 1987, he lived in Fort Myers and coached a Cypress Lake Hornets Pop Warner football team before joining the Marines in 1989. He left the service briefly and re-enlisted in the Army a few years later in the hopes of becoming a helicopter pilot. He also served in the Gulf War and planned on making the military his career. Thomas was an easy-going, passive man likely to smile and joke his way out of a confrontation. He leaves a wife, Kelli, and three sons, 7, 9 and 11.

Your brother Mike often mentions you on his program on TheBlaze. You are loved and not forgotten. You have a lovely memorial, your sacrifice will touch the hearts of all who visit.
