Glenn Russell Carter, 27, of Woodbine, GA died early Monday morning (March 17, 2008) in Brantley County from injuries he received in an accident.
Born in Jacksonville, (Duval Co) FL, his parents are Glenn Edward and Joyce Mae Byrd Carter of Woodbine, GA. He is preceded in death by Paternal Grandfather, Clarence Eugene Carter, Maternal Grandparents, William C. and Allie Mae Byrd, Aunt Connie Carter and Uncle Donald "Hobart" Briggs.
He was a commercial fisherman and an avid outdoorsman. He was of the Baptist faith.
Glenn is survived by his Parents; a son, Cameron Russell Carter of Cape Coral, FL; 2 Sisters and brother-in-law, Sonya Mosier of Hinesville, GA and Amanda and Phillip Marr of Folkston, GA; a brother, Donald Pearson of Kingsland, GA and a Paternal Grandmother, Winnie Lee Carter of Woodbine, GA several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Thursday evening starting at 6 p.m. at Chambless-Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
Graveside services will be held Friday afternoon (March 21, 2008) at 2 p.m. in The Colesburg Cemetery, Camden County with Rev. Jimmy Waldron officiating.
Pallbearers will be David Weise, Jay Maxwell, Mikey Marr, Clyde Allen Crews, John McGhin and Corey Higginbotham.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Brian Pitts, Steve Nipper and Phillip Pearce.
