Robert B. Hoff, who resided south of Eugene, died Monday, Nov. 3, age 76 years and 7 months. Mr. Hoff suffered a stroke of paralysis Saturday evening. L. D. Crane was helping him haul a load of wood when he fell from the wagon and was taken to his home where he became worse until death relieved him at 7 p.m. Monday. He spent most of his life as a resident of Miller County.
Mr. Hoff was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ, having obeyed his Master's call at an early age. He always practiced the virtues of Christian living and has now gone to his reward.
Mr. Hoff was also a veteran of the Civil war having served his country well during the rebellion. He leaves a widow and many relatives together with all who knew him as his friends to mourn his departure.
Loving friends laid the body to rest in Spring Garden Cemetery Tuesday evening.
