Daryl Wayne Martin, 48, of Wichita Falls, TX. formerly of Atchison, KS passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at his home in Texas.
Daryl was born on April 9, 1962 in Atchison, KS, the son of Robert and Sharon (Trower) Martin.
Daryl had worked in maintenance department for the Atchison County Court House for 10 years. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and shooting guns.
He was married to Penny Gardner for twenty six years and then divorced.
Survivors include five daughters; Jessica (Jesse) Bailey, Atchison, KS, Amanda (Nathan) Wooley, St. Joseph, MO, Samantha Martin, Atchison, KS, Tiffany Freeman, Atchison, KS, and Kara Martin, Atchison, KS., his mother; Sharon Burton, Albuquerque, NM, two brothers; Bobby Martin, and Brent Martin, both Atchison, KS, a sister; Tressa Kemp, Atchison, KS, ten grandchildren, his girl friend, Patty Hanbright, Wichita Falls, KS and his best friend Roger Patterson.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 8, 2011 at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Ziegler officiating. Cremation will follow the services and burial of the cremated remains will be at a later date in the Sunset Memory Gardens, Atchison. KS. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until time of service on Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to help with final expenses.
