MR. HANSFORD H. "BUD" BRUNTY, 69 of Chesapeake, Ohio, husband of Marsha Grace Brunty, passed away Friday, August 18, 2006, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday, August 21, 2006, at Chapman's Mortuary with Pastor Leo Edwards officiating. Entombment will be in Woodmere Memorial Park. He was born October 27, 1936, at Williamson, W.Va., a son of the late Edgar and Delsie Maynard Brunty. He was a retired Teamster, a veteran, serving in Korea, and a member of American Legion Post # 640, Chesapeake, Ohio, whose members will conduct Military Graveside Rites. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Delores Sartain, and two brothers, Edgar Brunty Jr., and Kenny Brunty. Additional survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Paula and Andy Meek of Daytona Beach, Fla., Sherri and Woody Oskin of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Vera and Darren Hall of Florence, Ky.; a son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Rene Brunty of Myrtle Beach, S.C.:, nine grandchildren, Whitney Meek, Seth Oskin, Brittany Brunty, Courtney Brunty, Cameron Butkus, Macon Hall, Beck Oskin, Michael Hall, and Zoee Oskin; four sisters, Linda Scott of Mt. Sterling, Mich., Mary Jane Cleghon and Stella DePue of Elizabeth, W.Va., and Rebecca Stacey of Canal Winchester, Ohio; and three brothers, Elton Brunty and Noah Brunty both of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Paul Brunty of Dayton, Ohio. Friends may call at Chapman's Mortuary from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, August 20, 2006. Pallbearers will be Dorian Williams, Seth Oskin, Butchie Wallace, Marquis Huggins, Michael Weaver, Steven "Devo" Harriet, Jimmy Tyson, Cameron Butkus and Woody Oskin.
