FRANZ BLOCKI DIES
Mr. Franz Blocki who died Sunday night at the residence, 1129 North Fifth Street, after an illness of two weeks, was one of the pioneers of this city, and a man who will be mourned not alone by the members of this family, but a large following of friends.
Born in Germany October 31, 1841 he came to America in 1852 and immediately to Sheboygan. When the civil war was declared, and the North was calling for men, he answered and entered the Navy; and his record of achievement at the front was characteristic of the man, to give the best that was in him. Returning here after the war, Sheboygan claimed him as an honored citizen until the final summons came. Besides three children, Herbert and Frank Blocki, and Miss Hedwig of this city, he is survived by three brothers, William, Eugene and John of Chicago.
The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon with interment in the family lot at Wildwood. The Rev. David Thomas will officiate.
