Henry was born March 25, 1837 in Bloomingdale, Ontario Canada to Rudolph & Susannah (Bingeman) Dettweiler.

He married Matilda Snyder on Dec. 8, 1858. In 1893 they moved to (Maitland) Midland, VA where he was a Mennonite minister.

When he died, Matilda moved to Vestaburg, Michigan, where she lived her remaining years with her daughter Mrs. B.F. Switzer.

Matilda is buried in the Ferris Center Cemetery near Vestaburg, Michigan.

Henry & Matilda are my Great, Great Grandparents.
