He is survived by his spouse, Irene Belle (Wells) Bain, who he married July 30, 1955; three sons, Harold Clay of Marshall, Missouri, Kandall Bain of Flippin, Arkansas, and Miles Bain of Independence, Missouri.
Harland was a World War II & Korea War, U.S. Navy veteran, a member of Ozark V.F.W. Post #3246, Alley-White American Legion Post #52, Disabled American Veterans Chapter #30, Military Order of the Cooties, the Korean War Veterans Association and had served on the funeral honor guard. A member of Gassville Baptist Church, he was also a member of F.&A.M. Lodge #117 at Yellville, Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the D.A.V. Chapter #30.
