[Burial: Dixie Walla Walla County Washington, USA per obit error; burial was in Mountain View Cemetery, Walla Walla Co., WA]...Obit Columbia Chronicle, Dayton WA, 16 Sep 1914 submitted by Betty from OR; Front Page & additional information supplied by Ann Koch.

Cantonwine, Wesley, J., a farmer of Walla Walla county, was born in Iowa in 1853, his father being a Pennsylvanian and his mother a native of Ohio. Educated in Iowa, he came to Washington, taking up one hundred and sixty acres of land and availing himself of the improved methods of farming, Mr. Cantonwine finds it exceedingly profitable. He is moreover, a breeder of bloodstock Holstein cattle and Hamiltonian horses" hoping not only for personal remuneration, but to establish a higher standard generally. He has a pleasant home, having married in 1875 Miss Clara E. Cram, a school teacher of Oregon, whose father was a wealthy sheepraiser and the holder of various civil offices in the county where he resided. They have three children. The Object of our sketch is a man of fine musical tastes, prominent in the Methodist Episcopal church and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, being a leading officer in both.
