Note: The husband of Louise (Schindhelm) Cantonwine was Austin J. "A. J." Cantonwine, the son of David "Doc" and Cynthia Emily (Irish) Cantonwine, and the grandson of Charles and Mary Magdalena (Scholl) Cantonwine. Louise and A. J. were married July 7, 1886, in Clinton, Iowa. They had two daughters, Pearl (b. May 1888, married Glen A. Arthur in 1917 in Davenport) and Grace (b. May 1890, married Norman A. Lilly December 25, 1920).

Mrs. A. J. Cantonwine [Louise (Schindhelm), 72, for the last 30 years a resident of Davenport, died at 3 p.m. Sunday in her home, 1709 Davenport avenue, following a six month's illness. She was born Dec. 25, 1869, in Iowa City, Ia. Her husband, Austin J. Cantonwine, to whom she was married 56 years years ago in Clinton, IA., died Nov. 1, 1937. She was a member of Sacred Heart cathedral. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. G. J. [Pearl] Arthur, Davenport; a sister, Mrs. Mayme Fisher, Mechanicsville, Ia.; a grandson, . . . , and a niece, Mrs. Raymond Roettger, Davenport. Funeral services will be held from the Horrigan home for funerals to Sacred Heart cathedral at 9 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Oakdale cemetery. Recitation of the rosary will take place at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
