Curtis, Benjamin F., Ingham County. Enlisted in company F, first Michigan infantry, Sept 9, 1861, at Chelsea, for 3 years, age 18. Mustered Sept. 12, 1861. Discharged April 21, 1863, on account of wounds received in action at Gaines's Mill, VA., June 27, 1862.

Record of Service of Michigan Volunteers in the Civil War, 1861-1865.

It is unknown where Benjamin died or is buried, but we honor him here near his family. May he rest in peace.
