Cora May "Corky" Leonard was born the eldest and only girl of six children to Fred Merven Leonard and Cora Inez Centers.
A loving and giving person, she seemed to be unlucky in love. First she married Mervyn Francis Bancroft on 9 May 1939 and they had three children. After divorcing, she married Orville Collins Holben on 14 Jun 1947, and they had two children. On 4 Sep 1964, she married Warren D. Meece. After a final divorce, she met the love of her life and "a real keeper". On 1 Apr 1978, she married Gail Shirley Cantonwine, and they were married almost 27 years when death separated them.
She loved bright colors; orange, yellow, pink, and purple being her favorites. She usually wore at least one of those colors daily (if not a mixture of all four.)
Nothing pleased her more than to be surrounded by her loved ones while playing the hostess.
