Doris Irene Kimble Robinson was born in Baytown on Dec. 9, 1936. She graduated from George Washington Carver High School. She served our country in the U.S. Army. She married her former husband, Frank M. Robinson, and to this union, two children were born: Sydney Irene and Stephanie Nannette.
Mrs. Robinson attended Lee College and graduated with her nursing certificate. She proudly dedicated her life to the nursing profession for over 40 years.
Doris was preceded in death by her mother, Georgia Kimble; her sister, Eloda Faye Edwards; her brother, John Adams; her nephew, John Paul Tyler; her aunt, Christine Robinson; and her daughter, Stephanie (Robinson) Washington.
Survivors include her daughter, Sydney Portilla-Diggs (Sherman) of Dallas; her sister, Paulette Aiken of Baytown; her sister, Nancy Smith (Virgil) of Guthrie, Okla.; her three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many other loving nieces and nephews, and loving family members and friends.
