Graveside services for retired Captain David D. Premo, 72, of Nederland will be 10 a.m. Monday in Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen with full military honors.
Mr. Premo died Tuesday, Sept. 21, at his home.
He was born on May 2, 1938, to Lewis and Aletha Premo in Madison, Wis. He was a retired military captain having served 20 years in the U.S. Army. His decorations include the Bronze Star Medal. He taught at Killeen High School and Harker Heights High School for 28 years. He was preceded in death by a son, John Joseph Premo and a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Premo.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years of Nederland; a son, David D. Premo Jr. of Rowlett; two daughters, Sherry Ann Mills of Nederland and Catherine Mary McCollough of Temple; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Killeen TEMPLE DAILY TELEGRAM. Published: September 26, 2010.
