Elbert C Green, 56, a lifelong rural mail carrier in Cleburne County, died at Memorial Hospital yesterday following an illness of two weeks.
Mr. Green was a native of Cleburne and resided at Heflin. He retired from the postal service some time ago.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 o'clock in the afternoon from Green's Chapel. The Reverends Hobart Murphy and Lynn Lanier will officiate.
Burial will be in the cemetery ajoining the church, usrey directing.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Susie Green, two daughters, Mrs. Barbara Lee DeMarsh and Miss Julle Emma Green; one sister Mrs. J. A. White, and one grandson, all from Heflin.
