Paul Sechler, only son of Charles F. and Josephine A. Sechler, died at his home in Sechlerville, March 14, 1891, aged fifteen years.
He has gone, but he had not far to go--only through the gates into the city--then came the glad happy meeting of mother and son. He started home long ago, and has been waiting just outside for weary months. How we would have liked to have seen him as he caught the first glimpse of the beauties of that country over there. He left his suffering and weakness all this side the gat.
He was an exceptionally promising son, of a most affectionate and indulgent father, who had anticipated so much in the future for them both, but destiny had otherwise designed it.
His father sat by him the the closing hours, yet heard not the flutter of the angels' wings, as they cam so gently and bore his dear one away, no farewells were spoken, and why should there be? Surely he lives in his old home yet, in the hearts and memories of those who loved him.
