Elder Jason David Fry, died on Monday October 9, 2006 after a hiking
accident while serving a full-time mission in the South Africa Durban
Mission of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was 20
years of age and a resident of Silverdale, Washington.
Jason was born on September 21, 1986 in Provo, Utah to Paul Alfred Fry
and Christina Marie Postle. Jason graduated from Central Kitsap High
School in 2005 where he was an honor student. Jason was an Eagle Scout,
loved to play soccer and had a passion for working with computers. He
had previously worked as an intern with the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard.
Prior to serving his mission, Jason attended one year at BYU Idaho.
Jason had served five months of his two year mission in Africa at the
time of his death. He is survived by his beloved parents; Paul and
Christina Fry of Silverdale, WA, his siblings; Julie Fry of Chicago,
Illinois, Robert, Brandon and Ryan Fry also of Silverdale, WA. He also
leaves behind his dear grandparents; Donald and Shirla Fry of Bremerton,
WA and Richard and Maria Postle of Newbury Park, California. There are
many other loving family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 20, 2006 from 6:00-8:00 PM
at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter -Day Saints- Silverdale Stake
Center located at 9256 Nels Nelson Road NW, Bremerton, WA 98311. The
funeral ceremony will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2006 at 11:00 AM
also at the church. Interment will be private at Mountain View Cemetery.
