Dean C. Sees, 54, Turbotville RR1, died at 4:50 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, 1997, in the Hershey Medical Center, where he had been transferred from Penn State Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, on Dec. 2.
Born Jan. 24, 1943, in Anthony Township, Montour County, he was raised by his grandparents, the late Curtis and Fannie Seese.
Seese graduated from Warrior Run Area School in 1961.
He was employed as a coal equipment operator at the Montour Steam Electric Station, Washingtonville, for the past 25 years.
An Army veteran of the Vietnam War, Seese was a life member of the Muffly-Huff Post No. 8206 VFW, Turbotville; a member of the Moses club of the Montour Steam Electric Station; and a member of Local 1600 International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
An avid sportsman, Seese was also a NASCAR and local late-model racing fan.
He is survived by his wife, the former Teresa Suzanne Appleman, with whom he observed a 27th wedding anniversary on Jan. 31.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. in the William F. Brooks Funeral Home, Turbotville, with Pastor A. Bruce Amme, of Zion Evangelical Lutheran church, Turbotville, officiating. Burial will be in St. James Episcopal Cemetery, Danville RR8.
