Daughter of Philemon Payne (Apr. 28, 1759 - Jan. 25, 1833) and Rachel Wilson (1767 - Nov, 1848).
She married James Rane McKinney on Oct. 12, 1821, Wayne Co., KY.
Known children: Sabra Ann (Judge William H. Johnson), Rachel Wilson (Capt. Thomas Higgenbotham), George Franklin (Martha Ann McKinney), Reuben Charles (Margaret Brown), Martha Jan (William Norton), Asa Martin "Doc" (Susan Catherine Brown), and Tabitha Agnes (Procktor M. Burns).
Her grave marker has the figure of an open Bible with the words "Holy Bible" at the top. Her footstone has "E. McK."
McKinney Cemetery was named for James Rane McKinney. James and Elizabeth's son, George Franklin McKinney, became the landowner.
The "McKinney Cemetery" is now located on private property and access to it is at the discretion of the current landowner.
