"Postmaster at Marshfield Dies-Will S. Nail, 66, postmaster at Marshfield, died at his home last Friday evening at 6:30 o'clock. Funeral services were held in the Presbyterian church Monday afternoon and interment was made in the West Lebanon cemetery.
Mr. Nail was born in Marshfield March 11, 1865, the son of John and Nancy Nail, and spent his entire life there with the exception of a short time when he was engaged in the real estate and meat business in Danville, Ill. In his earlier years he taught school, later becoming proprietor of a general store. He also served as trustee of Steuben township and for 18 years he has been postmaster and Wabash passenger agent here. He had been in failing health five years. Death resulted from a series of strokes of paralysis in the past two weeks.
Mr. Nail was married Aug. 4, 1895 to Daisy Lucinda Nolan, of Danville, Ill. He is survived by the widow and two daughters, Mrs. Geraldine Lucst, of Indianapolis, and Mrs. Naomi Clem, of Freeport, Ill. He was a member of the Masonic order, the Eastern Star chapter, the Modern Woodmen of America camp at West Lebanon and the Presbyterian church at Marshfield."-The Covington Republican, Friday, December 11, 1931
