VIDALIA -- Everette M. Booth, 75, died Sept. 5 at home in Lyons. He was a native of Toombs County and returned to the county in 1978 after living in Hinesville for 20 years. He retired from the Army and from public health with the state of Georgia after working in Long, Liberty and Bryan counties. He was a member of New Corinth Baptist Church and a member and past Master of Hinesville Lodge No. 271. He served in World War II, the Korean conflict and the Vietnam War.
SURVIVORS: his wife, Faye Booth of Lyons; a daughter, Kim Mitchell of North Augusta, S.C.; a son, Buddy Booth of Walthourville; three sisters, Ethel Bennett of Vidalia, Sarah Hitchcock of Cedar Crossing and Betty Hope of Brunswick; a brother, Bob Booth of Alexandria, Va.; and five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL: 3 p.m. Thursday at Murchison Funeral Home, burial in Galbreath Cemetery near Austin with Masonic rites. -Savannah Now, Sept 1999
