OLD SALEM - Funeral for Goldie Odessa Smith, 55, of Old Salem Community will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Causey's E. E. Stringer Funeral Home, with burial in Trout Creek Cemetery.
She died at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at John Sealy Hospital in Galveston after an illness.
A native of Oklahoma, she lived in Old Salem 15 years.
Survivors include two sons, William Smith of Lumberton and Doug Smith of Nederland; one stepson J.C. Smith of Beaumont; one daughter, Rachel Stampley of Nederland; two step-daughters, Mary Ellender of Vidor and Dollie Glawson of Kirbyville; four brothers, Jimmy Duncan, Harold Duncan, and Wesley Duncan, all of California, and Freddie Duncan with the U.S. Army; five sisters, Annie Thomas, Mildred Palmer,Edna Crawford and Patsy Arbuckle, all of Oklahoma, and Shirley Carnes of California; and three grandchildren.
