Funeral Will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Central Baptist Church in Kirbyville with burial in the Zion Hill Cemetery under the direction of Causey's E. E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville.
A native of San Augustine, he lived in the Kirbyville area 34 years and was a retired auto body man.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary Ellender of Vidor, Dollie Glawson of Kirbyville and Rachel Stampley of Nederland; three sons, James C. Smith of Beaumont, William E. Smith of Lumberton and Lewis Douglas Smith of Nederland; four brothers, Hoyt Smith of Silsbee, Roy Smith of Old Salem, E.T. Smith of Town Bluff and Henry Smith of San Augustine; 10 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
