Helen L. Nutter (nee Slusher), 84, of Elyria, died Sunday, December 14, 2008 at EMH Regional Medical Center, following a lengthy illness. She was born September 17, 1924 in Akron.
She was a 1942 Elyria High School graduate. For 35 years Mrs. Nutter and her husband, Edward worked in the Antique Department at the Lorain County Fair, they also raised show rabbits and enjoyed traveling to rabbit shows.
She is survived by her daughters, Marsha L. Vayhinger (husband Richard) of Dublin, Barbara A. Brewer (husband Rob) of Elyria; son, Jack E. Nutter (wife Gail) of Dennison; grandchildren, Jill, Amanda, Melissa, Aleese, Nick, Neal, Erin, Abby, Joe, Justin, Blake; great-grandchildren, Cassidy, Ryan, Payten, Zack, Amaya, Jenna, Ava, Mackenzie, Riley, Logan, Garrett; sisters, Carol McCoy of Florida, Nancy Anderson of Elyria; brothers, Chuck Slusher of Elyria, Bob Slusher of North Ridgeville, Glen Slusher of Elyria.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; sisters, Norma Ladd, Ivalynn Burgett; and her parents, Samuel and Eva (nee Nugent) Slusher.
